Great news! Will it be out for Mac someday?
Hello.
Any word on the Mac version yet? I was told mid April.
Thank you kind sirs
Should be ready on May 1st
“It’s finally here! At 1pm EST, you can buy it on Steam for $9.99.”
Unless you’re in Australia, in which case for some reason you need to wait until tomorrow.
Why do you guys do this to me?
I see it on the front page but there is no link to add it to my cart.
Can’t buy it from Steam. No “Buy it” button visible. Is it already available?
Can’t buy it on steam. Why?
Awesome news! Any plans for Mac?
Yes, it will be available on Mac in a few weeks.
Sucks being a poor university student right now. This looks amazing but I’m gonna have to wait for a bigger sale to get it. Congrats on the awesome reviews!
Been waiting a while for this! Bought already.
Any chance of allowing us to map multiple buttons to the same function? I could see that coming in handy. If it’s too much trouble to put in that functionality for too little gain I could just use joy2key or xpadder.
Hey, Hitbox, is the soundtrack for Dustforce ever going to be released? The game is amazing and the music just makes it better. I’d love to hear from you guys, and I like to know when I’ll be able to get that awesome soundtrack. Thanks!
Yep, the soundtrack is here: http://lifeformed.bandcamp.com/

Firstly I absolutely love this game, it’s bringing a freshness of playstyle to this genre that makes you sit and play the same blasted level for an hour trying to get that perfect combo. I haven’t had this much fun in a platformer since picking up N for computer around 5 or 6 years ago.
I seem to be having a problem though, while I have no problem doing the ceiling run to the right I’m having problems while moving to the left. If I keep up and left kept in while pressing the jump it won’t let me jump at all, sometimes I’m able to somehow still do a ceiling run to the left but I have a feeling it’s because I’m doing something else then. I know it has nothing to do with just being bad at ceiling running since I do it perfectly to the right and I’ve been playing quite punishing platformers like N to death, and I can even get through the clunky controls of Super Meat Boy easily. If it’s relevant I’m playing on an Acer Aspire 8930 laptop. I don’t know if it’s a ghosting problem but that seems weird since then it should also affect me while running to the right.
I didn’t know where to post since it doesn’t seem like there is a forum or a contact page here so I just posted it here.
Thanks for the awesome game and I hope there is a way to resolve my technical problem.
It does sound like a ghosting issue – ghosting can affect your keyboard asymmetrically, since different key regions may have different properties. Try plugging in a USB keyboard or using a gamepad.
Just dropping by to say thanks on the great game. Just bought it earlier today and I still can’t believe how good it looks. It’s nice to see fresh games like this one. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations on the great reviews! I absolutely love this game, already sank over 15 hours into it.
The only question I have, is: Do the janitors have “official” names? I know you’ve called the purple girl “Dustkid” on this blog and I’ve seen the name “Janet” for the girl in red floating about, but I wonder if you ever had any plans for them to have official names.
Thanks! The names are:
Blue – Dustman
Red – Dustgirl
Purple – Dustkid
Green – Dustworth
Will it ever be available anywhere other than Steam?
I’ve seen that you completed OpenGL renderer and the game is running on Mac, but what about Linux. I’ve seen on many websites that Dustforce would be available for it. Is that still in your plans maybe after the Mac version is out. You could than publish it in Desura, gameolith.com or indievania.com, there is also the Humble Bundle Store widget. You don’t have to be in a bundle to use it just look at Trine 2 http://trine2.com/site/index.php?page=buy
Mac version, please!
Hope we see a Mac version soon – I remember when I released my game I had a mac version and it was 40% of my sales. To only make almost 1/2 of your sales is a scary thing. Hopefully you do it before all the excitement of your game dies down. It’s already been a couple months.
I dont know how you’ll do it… but I did it though steam.
